The rhino is one of the most amazing animals. We can learn some very important lessons about life and following Christ from the rhino. First off, the leg joints of a rhino only allow them to move forward. They can never go back. This reminds us that we need to keep... moving forward even when life throws us a curve. Secondly, rhinos have very poor eyesight and can run very fast. They can only see about 30 feet. Couple that with the fact that they can run at speeds of up to 30 miles an hour. I think you can see where this might lead. At times we may feel like we don't know what's coming but we need not fear what we may run into. We need to run with boldness even if it feels like we are running past our ability to see. One last fact about rhinos, when they gather in a group (community) of four or more the group is called a crash. Just the potential energy and weight behind the crash send shivers down most peoples spins. And at times the crash of rhinos will run with reckless abandon causing an impact that is lasting. Imagine a group of Christ followers acting much like a rhino crash, running forward with passion making a lasting impact on the world. Imagine, living as a crash of Christ followers. Imagine the life change that would happen if we surrendered our lives to Jesus humbly obeying His will.
